Rav Daniel and Jasmine share a p
assion for Torah and community building, and are excited to serve the Columbia/Barnard community as JLIC co-directors! Daniel grew up in Newton, MA. He learned at Yeshivot Maale Adumim and Har Etzion and then studied philosophy and Arabic at Princeton. Daniel recently completed his rabbinical studies (semicha) at RIETS after learning on YU’s campuses in New York and Jerusalem. Daniel loves hiking, skiing, and nerding out about public transportation. Jasmine grew up in Los Angeles and then went to Princeton, where she studied computer science and philosophy. After graduating, she moved to Washington, DC where she worked for the Department of Defense and then in tech. Jasmine has spent the last two years learning Torah at Yeshivat Drisha and Nishmat. She loves hiking, reading, rock climbing, and dogs.
